Historical Scans is a new mobile digitization business designed to provide affordable, on-site scanning services to rural historical societies throughout the Midwest. Thousands of small communities preserve photographs, documents, and film formats that capture their cultural identity—but most lack the technology, staffing, or resources to digitize them.
Historical Scans will use a high-resolution flatbed and film scanners to digitize materials on location, ensuring items never leave the society’s premises. This service focuses solely on scanning, with no hosting, subscriptions, or ongoing digital management.
